Zoey Zoey Zoey Zoey COSPLAY COSPLAY!

So this past Saturday I went to the Toronto Zombie Walk (http://torontozombiewalk.ca/) for the first time ever! I was cosplaying Zoey from L4D, my favourite game on Steam. :D

My cosplay isn't finished, by the way, she has some white stripes on her jacket/track... thing that aren't there yet. XD My friend was busy at the time and didn't have time to do them, which is fine. I hate imposing on people but I lack sewing skills and she is awesumm. o A o                                                                                       So this is the cosplay that I've been growing out my own hair for because her hair parts in such a way that doesn't look good when you use a wig- that and my hair was already brown... So after I redo her it's CHOP CHOP time! Her make-up took some time to do and I went with my new NEO Glamour Gray lenses since my Beaucon Vibrant Match Green was -too- vibrant and fake-looking. Her eyes are actually supposed to be green, but the grey lenses look so amazing and so natural! I will be writing a review of them shortly but I digress~

So after fighting with my hair and putting all my make-up on, I ended up not arriving until 3pm of the walk. Briefly, I met up with my friends Sheena and Kristy who were cosplaying Victor and Emily. ZOMG they were so awesome-looking. ;; A ;; And they were swamped with photographers everywhere, it was like they were famous. o 3 o

Crappy Phone pics but Holy Shit, right?

Anyways, they got called off for a photoshoot so I went ahead and joined the walk. Because I was cosplaying a specific character (who also happened to be, you know, not a zombie? I blended in with the crowd rather well with a few L4D players who said "Hey it's Zoey!" I think that was what made me the happiest- that the very few people who did play L4D could recognize me! I went alongside the walk (joining in a few times to hang out with my zombiefriends) for the most part, it drizzled slightly but was very fuxxing cold. D: SO MANY PEOPLE AND PHOTOGRAPHERS AUGH! XD I kept trying to find my friends who were cosplaying a Hunter and a Witch from the game but I FINALLY met them at the end. = u =;;; We ended up taking a few photos and then I headed home, it was SO COLD on that day, I feel bad for Tasha. D:

Anyways. they look AMAZING! I'll just share a couple of pic from their sites~

So we snapped a couple of shots, I'll share them here along with some of my Zoey~

I thought that it looked very glam desu, so I puricuted it up as a joke using http://puricute.com/. It's a very amusing site, I must say. = u

Stressed Out! > n < Wig + Contact Review!

When I'm really stressed, cosplay has really pulled me through. I've never been one for comfort-eating or retail therapy but looking at my cosplay photos or going to conventions really lift my spirits!

Anyways, to destress I'll post a dual-review!

FM-Anime Lelouch Wig + EOS New Adult Violet Circle Lens Review~
Heeeeeeeeyyy~ Sexy Ladies!

FM-Anime
Service: 1/5 (CRAP!!!)
Honestly it takes them forever and a day to respond, we were waiting for 2+ weeks for questions about our custom orders. DO NOT CUSTOM ORDER FROM THEM!!!

We ordered from them in the middle after starting to message them in MARCH, I kid you not. They promised that our orders would be shipped by the end of April and when I messaged them mid-May they didn't even finish making our order. :/ Honestly don't lie to me about the send date if you can't complete it by then. What's WORSE? CosplayWig put up a listing for my Lelouch wig a FEW WEEKS after I ordered, UGH! This site does not provide free shipping as CosplayWig on ebay does which, by the way, is a FAR better seller! (Click me for my CosplayWig video review!)

Anyways, we finally did get it in the beginning of June (WAY AFTER ANIME NORTH- WHICH I ORDERED IT FOR!) and they forgot the free wig caps we asked for. = A = But whatever. I later found out that they also ran a Taobao site and I've had MUCH better success ordering from them there, it's much cheaper too.

Onto the actual wig part! This is the listing:
Code Geass Lelouch Lamperouge Cosplay Wig

And this is how it looks:
It came shaped like his hair and not cut like it is depicted~ Some trimming was necessary to make it look like his hair, which my friend Sheena kindly did for me!

Honestly this is one of the best wigs I own. It's rather thin but has good coverage, the material is super-soft and has a rather semi-matte finish which means it looks so much like real hair! The colour is listed as black but it actually comes a dark brown, JUST like Lelouch's!

Wig Quality: 4.5/5

Don't despair, FM-Anime does have a Taobao site, which means it's CHEAPER! Mind you, you do need an agent to order but I MUCH prefer it: Ghost Cos

EOS New Adult Violet
Overall Rating: 4/5

Listing: EOS New Adult Violet

They even show up on my crappy webcam! XD
When I first tried it on, they weren't as vibrant as I expected. This turned out to be a mixed blessing because they look rather natural (well, as natural as violet eyes could be!). This is perfect for cosplaying those characters naturally born with violet eyes. For vocaloid or those characters whose eyes change when certain situations happen (ie. bloodlust for my Vampire Knight characters) I prefer them to be more vibrant. Still, in sunlight and bright lights they look rather purple!

They're medium comfortable because my eyes still dry out after wearing them for a long time. But I've gotten rather used to them and now they triple-time as my Zero, Homura, and Twilight Sparkle contacts. If you want something more vibrant or dolly, these are not the ones for you! I would recommend them for daily wear or cosplaying male characters!

I originally ordered them from a friend who has a local contact sales business but Honeycolor carries them too, I've ordered from that site before and have had good results, great customer service!

Circle Lenses! Pt.1

To be honest, I've been putting off posting for awhile in fear of not writing anything substantial. But, really, how is this any different from writing on my Facebook Page? So today I've put forth yet another placement for circle lenses from Honeycolor.com- a company which I've developed a love for! Honestly, they should pay me for recommending them so much, they have great customer service and amazing free shipping sales! On top of that, they also sell cosmetics and I've purchased my favourite eyeliner from them as well.

Now I know a lot of people really like to write contact reviews but I can't help it- I really adore them! Writing about them kind of justifies my unhealthy addiction for buying them and the worst part is that you can't even collect them since they expire after a year! = A =;;; I guess I'll give a brief run-down of my circle lenses thus far. I currently own six pairs of circle lenses and believe me I really don't need that many! It's kind of a combination of my desire to have interesting coloured eyes and my liberation from my glasses! My excuse is that I need them for cosplay but I really only use half of them for cosplaying, the rest are for me. = u =;;; Prior to needing them for cosplaying Kaito, I was always too lazy to get them or too afraid to put something in my eye, thank you cosplay for helping me get over my fear! Now I can spend more money! OTL

Product Photo
I cannot even describe how disappointed I am in these! I had high hopes and they were dashed! Dashed I tell you! ;; A ;; Originally, I purchased them for my Kaito cosplay. I needed something very vibrant and these CLEARLY were not it! It's such a shame though and the product photo is LYING! Such lies!!!

They were my first purchase so I didn't know. Shame on past me for not reading reviews! I used to struggle getting them in but it's not so hard nowadays. (That's what he said!) I used to purchase these from my friends who ran a local contact business they go to cons and have a facebook group.

Actual Photo- So awkward SEXY~
It's barely visible under a -lot- of natural light and it creates minimal enlargement, though what little it does offer creates a subtle dolly effect. Note the rather soul-less looking eyes bearing into your soul as I nom a Big Mac. XD They weren't overly uncomfortable but did dry my eyes out a little. Nothing some eyedrops can't fix.

They're more geared towards everyday use I suppose. I still wear these every once in awhile when I feel like wearing some contacts, they weren't terrible as far as contacts go but I was underwhelmed. The perk is that they're cheap and easy to get your hands on.

Anyways, that's all I have the energy to write about today~ I'll be posting sporadically about the contacts I own as well as the new ones I have in the mail that are on their way. I put together a group order and they're giving us free express shipping on orders over $100! I love them! Speaking of which, all of their Neo brand is on sale and I can't help but notice that they took that category off their site.

I've done some looking into Neo and the water content is much higher than that of other brands. 45% versus 38% leading me to believe that they are much more comfortable. They also happen to be more expensive, running at around $30 a pop versus the $20 for other brands on that site. It's lead me to believe that they're on clearance and are being removed because they are pricey and don't sell well. Which is fine by me because now they're 40% off! XD I grabbed three pairs for myself that I can't wait to try on.

Anyways, thanks for reading, I'll be posting again soon!
